SOTC - Before entering my 20s

Hello guys, I think it is time to share my humble collection aswell, as I have just bought a new watch and will (hopefully) soon reach the temporary end of my collection. The main theme of my collection is the focus on quartz and solar watches, as I am 19 years old and do not want to spend an excessive amount of money on watches. Thus, it makes sense to focus on these types of movements. I also enjoy that I don't have to wind them and set the time, date etc. anew. I have been interested in watches for some two years but took my time before buying my first watch, as I had a clear notion in regards to its specs and looks. Finally, I decided on the Citizen BM8180-03E ("Garisson") as my first watch and bought it in April 2023. I love the daydate function and its dimensions. My biggest gripe is the crystal, which scratches easily and more annoyingly seems to attract smudges magically. Maybe I'll replace it in the near future with a sapphire crystal. Some three months later (Juli) I added the second Citizen to my collection (SID66-5191). It's a remarkably thin (under 5mm) 35mm dress watch with a fine pattern on the dial and applied indices. The wearing experience is beyond comfortable and I love its thinness. Unfortunately, it has a 19mm lug width, though I don't plan to swap its strap out, as its very comfortable. Two months (September) later I stumbled upon Phoibos' newly released quartz Eagle Ray GMT. As my younger sister currently spends a year abroad in Australia and I myself am working as a Flight Attendant before going to university next year a GMT seemed to be just the right addition to my collection. Its orange colour is quite lovely and at 10.5mm it is quite thin for a 300m water resistant GMT watch. Additionally, the domed sapphire creates some nice reflections and it is fully lumed (bezel aswell). At that point I thought that's enough, why would you need any more watches? You got a daily, a dress watch and a sporty watch with a fun coloured dial. In early November, though, came the next addition in form of the 36mm Addiesdive 2030, which I bought for a ridicously cheap price during the AliExpress sale. For 50€ you get a sapphire crystal, sweeping VH31 movement, a beautiful textured dial, applied indices and alternatingly polished hands which appear half black and half silver in the light. The case is the same as that of a Rolex Explorer 1 and the dial reminds me of Grand Seiko whilst still retaining its own character. After that I was set on adding a Chronograph and a dive watch. The Promaster NY0040 pictured here is my father's old watch. Unfortunately, the movement doesn't work well anymore (day and date can't be changed manually via quick set, stops randomly a few times a day, bezel is loose and wiggles). Consequently, I am still looking for a dive watch. I really like the look of the Promaster on a Long Island jubilee bracelet though I am averse to the Promaster's thickness and I'd prefer a solar/quartz powered watch, preferably 38-40mm in diameter and not more than 46mm lug to lug with a blue, green or yellow dial. I have yet to find such a watch but am not in a hurry about it. Any recommendations are welcome :) Lastly, my latest purchase (January) is the Seiko SBTR029 chronograph. It's one of the rare quartz chronographs with a proper 12h counter instead of a useless 24h counter. The ice blue sunburst dial looks great in direct light and adds a bright touch of colour to my collection. Also I really enjoy timing random things like walks, errands, cooking with the chronograph. The goal of my collection is to have a fun, inexpensive watch for every occasion and mood that fills me with joy whilst wearing it. After buying the dive watch, I only hope to be able to pause the never ending quest for the next watch, as that is the biggest challenge for any watch collector in my perception. Lastly, I hope that you enjoyed learning about my collecting experience and I hope I could remind you (as I have reminded myself) that one does not have to spend excessive amounts of money on this hobby to curate a diverse, enjoyable collection.

Yes, it indeed is a very find watch. Might have to buy the watch's oem bracelet.

Overall it is a very nice watch. I'd wish for an updated version with sapphire crystal and better lume.
