Iโm a huge history nerd and was always interested in space stuff as well. So when I first heard about the story when the astronaut Dave Scott during Apollo 15 mission pulled out his personal Bulova after his Speedy failed and wore it on the surface of the moon, I knew I had to get this watch some day! Well, a reissue of it.
Well, that day is today!
Decided to treat myself with the beautiful Lunar Pilot, and I am in love. ๐
It will for sure get a lot of wrist time in the upcoming days, so expect to see it on #wruw ๐

Nicely done! I added one of those a couple years ago. Sometimes itโs a bit bulky on my wrist, but I absolutely love the story of the watch!
Congrats, mate. What a cool watch it is!
Congrats!! I'm dearly waiting a 38mm version. Prob in vain haha.

Have you tried the newer smaller version?

Thanks! It really is!

I have been rewarded with large wrists! :D

As I understand it the new 43 is likely to be as small as it will go due to the movement size. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can confirm or update?
Nice, congratulations.
Beautiful. That is on my to get list. Bulova is one of my favorites! ๐ฏ๐โค๏ธ๐ฅ๐คฉโ๏ธ๐
one of the most iconic watches under 1000, underrated brand, great history, have the blue one, love every edition of it especially those with the non-polished case sides
Congratulations ๐๐๐ป brilliant watch
Here's mine in good company.

Thanks!
Dave Scott likely pulled a fast one getting a Bulova prototype into space, but I'm glad he did. I don't yet have this watch, but it's on my list. I'm a sucker for anything related to space.
Nice one. I almost picked the titanium recently but it just didn't sit the way I hoped it would on my wrist. Looks great on you though
Congrats! My Lunar Pilot was just delivered this week and Iโm in love!
True, but what bugs me is why was everything kept secret for decades?
In his initial report je didnโt mention Bulova.
Congrats! I love the LP, itโs a fantastic piece. And the movement is insanely accurate. I only have to set the watch for daylight savings.
One of my favorites to wear and, by far, the most accurate.
I just wish they would make one that was mechanical and a touch smaller, like the original one. But thatโs just me.

They have the smaller one, just not with the mechanical movement.
I prefer the Omega Moonwatch.
BUT....
What's cooler...the Omega, first on the moon, or the watch that replaced it when the Omega broke!? ๐
Pretty damned cool story and history on this Bulova! ๐
