When do you think that is too much.

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm guilty of owning a couple of homages. But sometimes I wonder when a homage is just an excuse for a cheaper and sometimes sorry copy of the original. Case in point when Invicta puts out it's Invicta Pro Diver Men's Watch - 48mm, Black (44834) which is clearly their version of the Citizen Promaster Dive Watch BN0150-28E. Invicta has some good stuff but when I see this kind of stuff I wonder, no matter who makes it. What say you?

I've seen it and I'm very tempted in pulling the trigger on it. I have two Pagani Designs homages and their quality and value are great.

·

I see no issues with it. My only problem is counterfeits.

·

Damn 48mm. For 40 bucks not a bad deal. I think I got my Citizen Pro diver for like 125. Personally I rather see this than the same old homages.

I don't mind homages but the ones I consider myself are for watches that are truly out of my budget or ability to save for.

I also got the Citizen Promaster but I waited and I got a great deal for it for $80 during a special sale that Amazon had on it. But I do understand from where you are coming from as to the price of the Invicta version.

I have no issues with homages/clones/rip-offs (call them what you will 🤣), and have a few AliExpress watches in my own collection. However, 48mm is massive! That is larger than my Seiko Arnie. Also you listed the EO2020-08E, but you have the BN0150-28E pictured. The BN0150-28E is 42mm and the EO2020-08E is the smaller 37mm version.

Here is my EO2020-08E on my 7.5" wrist. If you look at the date window, you can see the difference.

I understand a copy of a watch costing thousands, but copying a watch that's under $200 is a bit odd/off-putting.

Am I crazy or the watch is 30 meters of WR?😂

·

To answer your question in the title, I think it's too much when it is 48mm ∅. 😂

·

I thought they were both imitation SKX 007’s.

You are right. Thank you for calling out my mistake. I updated my post.

I don't think they are imitations, but you make an interesting point. I guess we could expect Invicta to make homages of the SKX anytime. Still, if I wanted such I would go for Islander Watches' version of that Seiko diver. They are supposed to be better than the original.

Not crazy at all. That's what it says on the dial.

They look pretty good.&most islanders have seiko movements. As close as you can get to an SKX,without paying a lot of money.

Enjoythoose bad boys!

Cheers!

But what I like about the Islander homage to the SKX is that its specs are much better than the actual Seiko model. With a solid-sink bracelet, AR Sapphire Crystal, and luminous ceramic bezel insert.
