That's why they make so many different sizes. 👍

I don't find that odd.

I do think it's odd that you find a 40mm too small when you have a 6.5" wrist.

I have a 7.75" wrist and some of my favorite watches are 38mm.

I certainly don't find them too small, but to each his own. That's why they make 'em in different sizes!

It’s 7.5 that’s a typo

You just see on these watch channels and blogs 40mm is the sweet spot

7.5" makes more sense.

For most people, 40mm is the sweet spot. Watch companies sell their watches to "most people"...

40mm is my smallest up to 47mm. 8 inch wrist.

Cheers!

·

6.75" wrist and 38-40 is my sweetspot, but the 36mm range is starting to grow on me a bit.

Calm down

Am I missing something?

I have a ~7" wrist, and prefer watches from 38-42mm. I lean more toward the smaller side of the range, but for divers I think 42mm works.

·

I don't mind the larger case size if the overall lug to lug is below 50mm or so and hugs the wrist nicely. I find overhanging lugs really uncomfortable.

For example, Hamilton 42mm watches look odd even on my 7.75 inch writst, the case wears flat and with 52mm lug to lug, the case still sticks out while wearing but with Seiko's 45mm Sumo case, even with he same 52mm lug to lug, it wears on the wrist much smaller and comfortable. Same goes with a 44mm Casio Duro which has compact dimensions for a large case. It really depends on the case profile and how it wears on the wrist.

Personally I enjoy 36-42mm watches and my most comfortable watches to wear are my Seiko 5s, a 37mm SNXS75 and 38mm SNKL23.

·

I have small wrists so anything bigger than 40mm looks kind of weird and bulky on me! Of course it also depends on the watch, the lug to lug, how it wears, etc...

·

Me too, 8.5" wrists.

·

Im the same...a vast majority of mine start at 42...then several 44's. The absolute smallest I will go is a 40mm. I have tried a 39 and 38 and sold them...I think it has to fit the wrist though.

·

My smallest watch is a 37mm (iirc) and my largest is 45mm. Wear what you like.

·

38-40mm is my sweet spot, around 6.75" wrist circumference. Probably wouldn't go smaller than 36mm, and definitely not bigger than 42mm.

Perfectly sized wrist (PSW).

29mm on a PSW. Are you triggered? Can you handle this vintage sized perfection? (Since you asked for preferences, I say 33-38mm.)

42mm is my smallest watch. 8 inch wrist also. 👍

·

I think my "sweet spot" is anywhere at or above 42mm. With 8 inch wrists, I have a lot of flexibility at the upper end of the popular size ranges.

I wont put anything larger than 42mm on my wrist. 38 - 42 is my sweet spot.
