Different way of wearing a Nato strap

Hi.

A neater way of wearing a Nato strap..give it a try..

Hopefully you will see by pics how this is meant to go...it just moves all the mass of the Nato to the inside of the wrist, albeit you have now made the Nato into a single pass strap

This is the only way I can really wear a NATO, the “regular” way is silly looking on my wrist with every watch I have tried.

Natos by design trade function over form and when worn as it should certainly put alot of the mass to the side of the wrist which i am sure isnt for everyone either from a comfort or asthetics point of view.

I am ex military so always wore them as designed but i do like the neater way as ive described.

Thanks for replying

I always cut of that extra piece, made every NATO I own into a clean single pass strap....I just don´t like that extra bulky fabric mass.

Imo, the "neater" way as you've shown is more functional than the "standard" way. It balances out the top heavy dial and gives redundancy at the buckle. It gives me the most mental security that the watch isn't going to incidentally fall off or get stolen off the wrist. It's also the most secure way to put the watch on, assuming you do what I do: create the initial loop and then put your hand through it similar to a bracelet.

I've always just cut that piece off if it bugs me on certain straps. I'll have to give this a try next time that I get to switch straps out.
