Don't worry. Seiko usually aims high at first then they become very affordable after a few months.

So pretty much it will go down from 590 to 350 or less sooner or later. I never pay MSRP for Seiko.
Cool! This is the one I was waiting for (perfect affordable itch scratcher while I wait out the economic turbulence ahead).
I just need to wait until the initial excitement burns off and supply has a chance to catch up so I can pick one up at the end of year with the regular Seiko discounts (plus holiday coupons if they end up at big box retailers).
Hopefully, all the SKX and 5KX compatible parts and bracelets will work (which I assume they will).

I have a 5KX and this one will be on my list. probably not the first on the list but it is. at least as a cool summer travel watch

Seiko packaged this in almost the exact original dimensions with only 0.1mm of added thickness which is impressive.
On Monochrome and Fratello I'm seeing a Euro price of 470 which is right around $500 USD.
I’ve been eyeing the Longines Zulu time piece and this drops out of no where!!! i think I’ll still go for the green Zulu though. being Aussie I like the greenish goldish colours on the gmt!
