Question

Just started a warehouse job and want to wear my automatic watches to work. Not sure if I would magnetize the movement. Anyone know if I this could happen?

Thanks

You can buy a degausser on Amazon for about $20 if you’re worried. Not sure what type of warehouse you work in but generally you won’t be exposed to that level of magnetic fields. This is a more common problem for those in hospitals near MRI machines.

Do your warehouse by chance carry the ark of covenant and an alien skull too?

In the middle of a desert? Can you be so kind and send me the coordinates?

Not sure if an electric High low will be an issue if you wear house has that. What is in the wear house that you believe will cause this issue.

Wear a g shock and worry no more . I don't go to work without it.👍

Should be good to go. Most magnetization I've seen is because one leaves their watch near or on top of their phone every night bedside, or in a storage box/backpack.

·

Shouldn't worry too much, get a demagnitiser. They are cheap and do work.

I work in an industrial environment and drive a variety of electric vehicles including forklifts. I’ve never had any type of damage or magnetization of my watches.

If you wear nice watches, you just have to be aware of them as you are going about your day so you don’t smash them into things.

My Macbook Pro has very heavy magnets that lock the lid down that messed with some watches before I figured it out. If it worries you get a cheap demagnetizer.

You sound like somebody who has not checked their watch "I use the iPhone Lepsi app" and found out their watch was magnetic.
