Explorer 124270 on leather
Already a year with the Explorer 36 mm en really loving the watch. After wearing it only on the oyster braclet, I thought it was time to mix it up a little. This is a beautiful rugged Leather strap from Bullang and son and I think it’s a very good combo.

I’ve been debating putting my name down for an Explorer recently. I’m really trying to restrain myself, but it’s just such a good looking watch.
I think this one needs to be on leather.
The Explorer like 99.9% of all watches is better on a strap 😬
Did you need to use curved spring bars to get this strap to fit? The spring bar holes are very close to the case on this model.

Wore my GMT M2 on a bracelet for at least 15 years, then saw a Daluca Strap ad with a Submariner on a leather strap made of old Swiss ammo pouches. Thought it was way cool. Have had my GMT on a strap mostly.
You should check out some good quality sailcloth straps, they have the look of leather but are waterproof so you don’t have to change out your leather strap if you want to take a dip. Also check out some Epsom leather straps, not complete water proof but water resistant. Best I can describe Epsom leather are classic Louis Vuitton bags.

Thank you. I also looked at a lot of strap before pulling the trigger. Yeah thes straps from bullang and sons a bit more expensive than other straps but the quality is there and definitely worth the cost.
