Be careful because even a watch that is not a lot of money can give you a problem. People just see a watch they don't know the price. Enjoy the trip my friend.👍

Spent a month in Chapala (roughly a half-hour south of Guadalajara) late last year, joining my wife who had an artists' residency there. Had a fantastic time, and had few to no worries about what I had on my wrist. For the record, there were two watches: A Casio ProTrek PRG-300 series which handled the two-time-zone thing for me nicely, and a dressier Seiko 5 which I thought I'd wear only a few times, but ended up wearing for most of my stay;
I'm old, from SOCAL, Northern Nevada, and now Alabama. I seek variety, quality, and something that piques my interest. I do not invest in watches but strongly admire quality/ $$.

If it was me probably Casio F91W or DW-5600
Timex weekender, Armitron, sketcher, or a George all these in Walmart. Perfect travel watches.
