The Old G-SHOCK and the SEA. (Would have been a Hemmingway novel had he lived)

Need a real world report. How does long term exposure to the salt air and water effect the ever durable G-SHOCK line? Regular, non abusive wear is assumed.

Good question... I see lots of sailors in the Royal Canadian Navy wearing Casios and G-shocks... You should try to check if it is popular also in the US Navy, which would validate my point. My hypotheses are either it is perfectly capable of handling sea conditions or it will last until the battery dies and then you change it ( for NAVY sailors) for a new one since they are not that expensive and they need something performing to high standards all the time.

Great insight. And hopefully the solar charging eliminated battery changes for decades! Thank you.
