Seiko Monster Save the Ocean

I sold my orange Monster a few months ago and have regretted it since. I sold it because the orange was just too loud. I came across this JDM Save the Ocean model and fell in love with the dial. I got it on eBay for £225 (box, papers) and I'm absolutely chuffed. From a seller in Japan, they even sent me an origami crane in the watch box, which adds to the story 🙂 this dial really does need to be seen in person to fully appreciate it.

The Save The Ocean series are really great dials

Very nice Seiko Monster Save The Ocean Antartica

Nice and frosty! Love it! Question: Why do you regret selling the orange dial one? I have been looking at orange dial watches myself.

It was just a little bit too "out there". I always felt like it drew as much attention as a big flashy watch, which I'm not a fan of. Loved the watch though, but didn't end up wearing it as a result.

Sorry, I think I misread your question. I regret selling it because of its maverick appeal really. I absolutely love the notched bezel and indices. I had to have it (again) just a little tamer this time 🙂

SICK dial. 🔥🔥🔥

Been stalking this model on eBay for a while... Looks amazing! Can I ask what size your wrists are? Im wondering how the monster would fit on me.

Love it. I ended up buying the baby tuna with the same dial. I need a monster for the Seiko collection. Green would be nice if one exists.

Admittedly, I have very small wrists (6 inches) but even so, I feel I get away with the monster. The fitted end links of the 4th gen model certainly help it hug/roll around my wrist better. You get a better sense of size with a "chest" shot, attached.

Thanks for your reply. Yes it looks great fit on you. I look forward to pulling the trigger even more now!

I also have a Seiko Mini Turtle and it fits sort of similar to that. You think it would be too big, but somehow, its plump case masks it's size. The short lug to lug is where it's at!

Stunning and an absolute bargain at that price! Congratulations

Here's my V4 monster 😁

Those aren’t JDM exclusive models. Not sure if you got a JDM version, but both this Monster and the Mini Tuna were available in the states. I know because I bought the mini tuna verdion from my AD.

Sorry if it was misleading, by JDM I meant that this is the "made in Japan" version - which has said writing on the dial and specific packaging to reflect such thing. What some might consider a "proper Seiko".
