Hadn't worn a watch since I was a kid but needed one for work. I told Reddit what I needed it to do and that I wanted it cheap. On that advice I bought a Timex Expedition Scout and a Casio F105 to see which one I liked better. One thing led to another...
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Probably a Casio someone slapped on me when I was a kid.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy a few cheap watches to get an idea of what you like to wear before spending serious coin. Once you know, then look to spend more money on something that will last.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Casio is always on the radar. Recently got interested in Vaer watches.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I don't really have a grail watch. My quest is to build a lean, mean, collection that actually gets worn and will last for life. The goal right now is to have a quality, versatile, solar watch for every collection category. If I were to buy something outside of that guideline, it would be frivolous and whimsical like the Vostok Luna Dude.
