Watch you wear to travel

Hi everyone, I’m travelling to LA in about two months, now I’m considering wether I should wear my op36 with me as I’ve heard some bad stories. But I absolutely love my black op and I wear it every day! What do you wear when you are on vacation? Any advice on what should I do?

Advice: Insure it, wear it, DGAF.

What I wear (or don't wear) is between me, my wife and the court system if I get too drunk.

Go naked…it’s safer

Ok… ok… I won’t use  this meme anymore 😂

·

wear a g -shock . keep your precious in your bag and change when appropriate.

Depends on where you're going and what you're doing I suppose. Mostly daylight in nice neighbourhoods? Probably fine. Drinking all night and going to some sketchy neighbourhoods? Might want to check your insurance policy.

For myself, I'd rather not worry about something on my wrist when I'm on holiday. Sure, my home might get broken into when I'm away, but at least I'm not in direct danger.

Luxury jewelry is a big poster saying "Rob me" in any city. you can wear it but keep it on the inside of your wrist to hide the logo and keep to good areas

·

Honestly, wear the op! But if you're really worried just get one of those AliExpress lookalikes 😂

Depending on how long the trip is I bring a few. On the flight I wear my AE 1200 cause it's easy to switch time zones, then I have a dressy and sporty analog option for when I'm there.

I’m spending three weeks in California this summer, all around the place from LA to north of SF, including going east into Yosemite.

Will bring an older Rolex 16570 with a white dial. Low-key, has a GMT hand to track home time and it’s hella cool.

The hood trash here in LA are just like any other trash or tik tok zombies: They only know Rolex.

By the way, at least in LA it's not yet as bad as the old days in Hong Kong where they used to lop off your wrist with a cleaver to get your Rolex.

·

Going to Madeira Beach just outside Tampa next week.  Going to take Tag Aquaracer,  Tag Formula 1 blue chrono, my new Revelot Hexmariner and my Nite Hawk T100.

·

My watch choice usually depends on where I go, but generally a G-Shock comes along and my “The Citizen” model is my go to travel watch.

I would say don’t worry about wearing your OP36 though. It is not a flashy watch at all, and without a cyclops or a rotating bezel it doesn’t scream Rolex like some of their other models do.

its just screaming rob me but sometime they re not satisfied enough they might hurt you . keep it low key or Use something regular.

I visited LA for a long weekend a few weeks back. I wore my BLNR GMT the entire time and didn't even give it a thought. The trip included wandering around restaurants and bars late at night.

I also lived there for a little over a decade, and never had an issue. I would wear your OP and relax.

Bad luck can happen anywhere at anytime... But don't let that possibility suck the joy out of life.
