Tbh, I would recommend Nomos. I’m not saying that Grand Seiko is bad. In fact I’ve handled lots of Grand Seikos and their quartz are top gear. Like they grow their own crystal, making the “tick” perfect with no after-shake. But as a total watch nerd, your first meaningful watch gotta be a nice automatic one. And don’t worry about the lug, unless u have a tinny tinny wrist, you can pull it out!

There’re policies required ADs to do that. Just to make sure you ‘wear this watch’ not selling them with ‘stickers included’. I bought a DJ last month and they have to do a peer review on the sticker removing process

Both watches are classic! Depends on which one you want to wear the most. For me, if you want to add more versatility to your collection, go for the tank. You could wear it both dress up and dress down. Just a reminder, Santos get scratches easily
