Those are some awesome Tudors!  Why is the FXD the favorite?

·

I love The tie into the history of the marine national. The function of a count down bi directional bezel. The snowflake dial and hands. The fixed lugs cause I am a habitual strap changer. Added to the fact my ad moved heaven and earth to get it for me. I guess it’s my perfect watch. What’s your favorite of them and what’s your perfect watch?

I love the looks and functinality of FXD the most as well. I don't own any of those, unfortunately, but being a fabric strap lover FXD is my choice. So unique

yea sir for sure.

Aside from maybe some Sinn, the FXD is what I think of as synonymous with the quintessential “tool watch”…would love to add one to my collection one day.

I would agree with you with one quantifier it is the Quintessential purpose driven tool watch. Sinn is a great dive watch and one of my favorites for sure. If you get a chance i cannot recommend the FXD highly enough.

Nice 👌 I like the LHD and Pro best in your line up 😊 But they are all lookers

I prefer the 42mm. Black. IN house movement. Not a fan of the FXD. No ability to every have a bracelet which makes it so much more limited. Just my 2¢. I am considering the 39mm. Mostly because it is no date. I have the Pelly 42mm.

Very nice watches. Are you still doing a year on the wrist with the FXD? This is definitely one on my wish list. I was going back and forth between that and BB Chrono, but I just accepted I'm a diver guy. I have 2 chronos and that's more than enough.

Chocolate and vanilla my friend. Your reason for not liking the FXD is one of the main reasons i dig about it the most. I agree though no date is a plus for me. The 42mm Pel is one of my favorites love that watch. The 39 I'm not sold on. I do need to see one in person to make the final call but something in the pics just doesn't do it for me. I can't put my finger on it but something just isn't right(for me).

Yeah AD's want, 39mm Pelly, a deposit to get on list? I don't know if i even want one, I don't tend to like sub 40mm Divers.

I am with you, I have a Rolex Submariner (14060M) no date that I dig. The only thing I like about the 39mm is the no date. I mean they stripped the Pelagos DNA. No helium escape, less depth, etc. Yes I know maybe less than 1% use Helium escape valve. Ha ha.

I’m such a sucker for the FXD. For what I enjoy about watches, it’s as close to perfect as I’ve ever seen. It speaks perfectly to my sensibilities. The only issue is my humble wrist that can’t handle the size. Nothing could ever replace my 58… except for a 39mm FXD.

I’m curious, from your other 3, is there a favorite or order for how much time they get?

I’ll pay the Tudor photo tax since I’m wearing it at a coffee shop right now:

The 58 is an outstanding choice… no Doubt. As for order it would be

fxd

58 or lhd

925

pro

bronze

I've got a BB 58 and a 41. I'm a big fan. I'll also get an FXD if I can ever find one. I'm on the list but my AD said he won't be getting anymore for the year.

Great choices for sure man.

I have purchased 9 modern Tudors in the last 2 years.

  1. Blackbay 58 blue
  2. Blackbay GMT
  3. Blackbay Harrods edition
  4. P01
  5. Ceramic
  6. Chorno panda
  7. Pro
  8. Bronze
  9. Royal date, blue dial

My favourite without doubt is definitely the chronograph. Not been too keen on the FXD because of the wired lugs and I hate nato straps.  I am considering the new pelagos 39mm as well which I have tried on and like very much.

Why is your FXD your favourite?

in the field I work in I deal with everything from active shooters to bomb disposal to natural disaster. I need a watch that can hold up to all those things and more. I love the fixed lugs makes strap changes a breeze when they get dirty or scuffed. The countdown bezel is worth it’s weight in gold to me for count down tasks etc. it really is perfect for me. I’m not so keen on the 39mm pel but in fairness I’ve not had one on wrist yet so that can certainly change. Congrats on your stellar tudor collection man it’s impressive for sure .

Thank you for the insight to your decision why you love your FXD.  I will be speaking to my AD to get me viewing on one.  So many people including yourself can't be wrong and a Tudor collector I should really consider it. Actually I was offered one on release day.  Keep an eye on my daily wrist shots, they will all make an appearance no doubt. Thank you again.
