It's a real shame, I've been considering the SPB333 Save the Ocean turtle for my next significant watch purchase. But why would I spend over a grand to risk poor QC and comparatively bad movement specs when the Swiss conglomerates generally get it right first time at that price point?
It's close enough that people have already made this comparison multiple times across this thread and in other spaces 👍 as you own more than a few CW pieces I can see why you are taking this angle
I don't see anything wrong at all with making watches with certain design elements more financially accessible to people, I just think it's a missed opportunity for CW to develop their own design language and brand identity which they kind of lack in a few ways.
