New Rolex 2022 at AD
Finally, 1.5 month after W&W the new steel kids in town arrived at my AD.
GMT-Master II: it’s strange XD but I would assume that you will get used to it, it is something special. However the green is disappointing. It looks like the blue and red on the Pepsi, not really strong, rich and deep. It is absolutely not comparable with the Batman with its bright blue half bezel.
Air-King: I am in love… I owned the old Air-King. And everything I didn’t like they have improved. It is not that thick, the bezel is thinner, the dial larger and lume in the 3, 6 and 9. The crown guards are there and don’t harm, no pro or con. But I don’t know yet if I like the wider bracelet.
What’s you opinion on them?

I got on the waitlist for the new Air King right after W & W but I haven't seen it in person yet.
Not a fan of the crown guards in the picture. The strap doesn't bother me because if I get an Air King, I'm going to remove the bracelet and get a quality black rubber strap.
Did the AD have any idea when the A-K was going to be released to the public?
Excellent choices. I love the Air King. Both old and new. I also love the history of the Air King. As for the LHD GMT I really like it. I cant wait to see it in the flesh. Did you add these to your collection. If so great choice.

it is released. My AD has them now for 1-2 weeks for the window and then both get sold.
The thing with the rubber strap is the same as with the bracelet. Your rubber on this will be also wider as on the old Air-King, because they increased the lug width. ;)

Agree with you, I like the looks of your AK, but the green ain’t doing it for me on the GMT. Hope you enjoy them.
That GMT has the crown on the wrong side of the watch. What happened to Rolex's legendary quality control? The new releases are about as exciting as watching paint dry.

For me, it just looks lazy. If the date was on the right, then I would like it. This is just them turning the watch upside down, and printing a mirrored date wheel.

I’m not a fan of the Air King but appreciate the update. On the other hand, I love the GMT Master II but find the new destro version abhorrent. That’s very interesting they’ve already made their way into the wild. I wonder if I’ll see them in mine anytime soon.
Currently waiting for my GMT sprite. I was told it would arrive a couple months ago since I was first on the list but nothing yet. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping it’ll arrive within a month but with Rolex nothing is ever a guarantee.
