Omega Seamaster dilemma?

Do I keep my 41mm black ceramic version is still my favourite watch in my collection or trade it for the new seaweed green which I'm really tempted by? I can't really justify owning both as they're too similar.

I have 6.5 inch wrists so thicker larger size is a concern, guess the answer is to go to an AD and try one but any thoughts?

You’ll have to go try it on. I also have a 6.5” wrist and while my Speedy fits perfect at its slim 42mm profile, I’m on the fence on the Seamaster. I’ve tried it on three separate times… and just can’t pull the trigger. It doesn’t wear huge. The lugs and drape of the bracelet make sure of that but you definitely know it’s there. If they made a 40/41mm it would be in my watch box.

Love the green btw, I fancy the white/black.

I agree, I also have a 42mm Speedmaster which wears similar to the 41mm Seamaster, as you say if it was 40/41mm I'd do it.

I’m REALLY hoping they jump on the smaller dive watch bandwagon.

I paid under £2500 for the black one 6 years ago from Watchfinder and would like to think it'd be worth similar now. It would still be around £3k to swap.

Thanks for your comments, I agree that the black one is probably more subtle and fits in better with outfits, nice dilemma to have though!

OP the new green one is basically black. Your black one is nicer in my opinion (I like myself a deep black dial though) and wears arguably quite a bit better. Keep your watch, it's a very nice one!

That green is absolutely stunning and very subtle in person.

Trade it for seaweed

I have a Seaweed and love it. The colour changes a lot with the light. Darker, almost black, under warm lights and brighter unde the sun.

Smile per $ performance is very high in my opinion.

It is not as versatile as black, especially with green rubber strap.

For what is worth I have a tiny 6.1 inch wrist and I can pull it off, well in my opinion 😁

I wouldn’t give up my favorite watch.

My vote

Save

Own both

And if you really stop wearing the first

Sell

·

...never ever let go your favourite watch...

Both are great! I think I would keep your original, especially since it’s your favorite watch - you might end up regretting getting rid of it later. That black dial ceramic is very classy!! Best of luck on whatever you choose!! 😁

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I'm going towards keeping the one I have.
