Cheapest way into a 2824 movement

So far the cheapest way to get a 2824 movement is buying a Certina ladies watch from Jomashop. All the stuff from china can not be trusted and I suspect the Sellita SW200 might be made there too for cost cutting. At $185.00 USD i could strip the movement and recase in to a 36mm. Any ideas?

Is a used movement an option?

Yes, ETA doesn't sell to the general public, so any true ETA movement will have to be pulled from somewhere.

I want to build a New ETA 2824 watch with sterile dial in 36mm case and snowflake hands for the least amount of money. I can do the chinese 2813 for around $60.00 and the NH35 for $85.00. Ultimate goal is sterile 3135 build with clone movement.

Have you checked Otto Frei or Jules Borel?  I know they tend to carry ETA 2824s and SW200s.

I have ordered from Jules Borel before (tools, not movements) and felt pretty good about it.

otto doesn't sell parts and Borel only has the generic clones. Originals are not sold out of the swatch group. Some on ebay ( probably clones) or used for $250.00. Chinese clones start around 40 bucks and go up from there.PT5000 is all chinese. Sw200 is over $250.00

The Invicta 9937 has an SW200 and sells for as low as $170 (corrected as it's currently available for $170).

i thought of that one but it might not be a Swiss sw200. The chinese have been making them too. Just the movement alone sells for over $220.00 in North America.

exactly! Thats chinese built. Actual Swiss built costs far more. There is no end to the clones and fakes around starting at $50.00 all the way to $250.00. The Chinese stuff is really inferior to the Swiss made ones.
