I’ve owned a two GS’s and have ended selling both. They’re just too ‘polished’ nearly every surface is mirror like and felt too dressy for my taste, I thought it would grow on me but they didn’t in the end.

Such a great watch. Definitely looks dressy enough, but certainly can be casual.

My honest opinion would be to research in person a few other GS models. The SBGM221 seems to be the choice for enthusiasts who are still a little on the fence about the brand, viewed as very good value for the expense. It depends on how many watches you own and rotate, a few of my friends purchased the watch because of many favourable reviews on YouTube but it rarely gets worn, a little lost compared to other Grand Seiko watches they have already. Just my personal experience.

I can't think of a reason to get rid of it.. it's a keeper 🤙
