I was overwhelmingly blessed to finally call my best friend my wife last May. It was a no-brainer. She loved me at my worst and lifted me up at my lowest. She then gifted me my now most cherished timepiece after we got engaged. She wanted the best for me and exactly knew what I’ve been yearning after even though I never told her about it. I won’t mention the name of the watch since it’s kind of well known. But, I certainly wore it at the ceremony in case you weren’t sure.
This is my most special watch. What is yours?

The first watch I ever bought for myself. Far from the last, but there since the beginning. Absolutely love it
Got this with inheritance from my Mum. Her father was in the Royal Marine Commandos on D-Day and wore Omega (I never met him unfortunately, & his watch was lost in time)
My most treasured possession
It's a hard time I think, for different reasons.
My father's day present from the Mrs... For being the dad that I am. "First of many to come as I've always been a great dad and seems I plan to keep it up".
My favourite thing to be, a father, so it means a lot to me.
Gifted to my by my mentor and friend, after leaving college he said he noticed my efforts to be a real man and a gentleman, and a true gentleman always respected time.
He has the most expensive watch collection of any man I know personally
I saw for the first time during the final stop of our European vacation more than 12 years ago a Breitling Transocean Worldtime complication watch but despite my understanding wife’s insistence that I just buy it there, I am too cautious to bring an expensive timepiece back through Canada customs. A few weeks after we returned home to Canada, my wife slipped me a thick envelop with a wad of cash to go out and buy the same watch at whatever price I felt was sensible. She also casually alarmed me with the news that her GP had noticed a suspicious mass in her left breast, she was scheduled for tests. It is true that the Killer C is almost never completely driven away but we live our lives together as happily as carefree as possible, each mammogram session is still dreaded until a negative result is confirmed. My Worldtime watch is special and most dear to me not merely because it was a gift from my best friend but a constant reminder to never take for granted any small happy event, to live our best possible lives and so much more but most profoundly for me is that a watch is just an effing watch.
Same a present from my future wife before she became my wife as well…
20 yrs old
And this 20th anniversary gift
My “babe” watch because it matches my lady’s eyes. I also wore it to her naturalization ceremony. It reminds me of her and how far we have come together all these years.
My JLC Master Control. I was gifted this watch by my parents when I earned my Juris Doctorate, and they gifted me the OEM bracelet for it when I earned my LL.M. the following year. Two and a half years after receiving this watch, I was married in it. I wore it to work pretty much daily pre-pandemic, and still do when I have to dress up.
My Tudor BB GMT. My wife gifted it to me for our 34th wedding anniversary this year. We were high school sweethearts. My son will get my watch collection when I'm gone and he knows the Tudor cannot be sold.

Great story and beautiful watch.

Gorgeous watch.
Great story and beautiful watch.
Thank you!!❤️
My father-in-law gave his one and only Rolex to me a week before I married his stepdaughter. He has a son of his own and grandsons but thought I would be the best steward of it. Plus my wife is his favorite kid 😂
She's a keeper. Congratulations

I can’t imagine how annoyed his biological offspring were about this, but congrats!

Insane! I can’t even imagine what I’d need to do to be given that kind of gift.
My most treasured & cherished is this:
Gift from the wife for our 5th Anniversary. It's wood so it also represents my dad who was a woodworker.
If I had the chance to save only one watch in a disaster, this would be it.
Congratulations! My most cherished watch is the same model as yours that I also received from my wife! (I wrote a post about why it’s particularly special to me)
Congrats! Love and live well together. 🍻
My most precious timepieces are...
A vintage Citizen from my Dad.
A vintage Seiko from my Mom.
And, a vintage Smiths Pocket Watch from my son.
I can’t imagine how annoyed his biological offspring were about this, but congrats!
Oh along with being an insufferable prick, he also dropped out of Duke after 4.5 years then stuck my father-in-law with the tab.. he’s never paid a dime of it.
Insane! I can’t even imagine what I’d need to do to be given that kind of gift.
I cried for hours... Sat around my desk with my head in my hands just looking at it. I still don't know what I did to this day.
My Lorier Neptune is one of them because a childhood friend got it for me to celebrate my college graduation.
Then it's my OMEGA Seamaster Professional 2561.80 because I'm a Bond fan and this watch was my introduction to Bond and OMEGA
Wonderful story ❤
Hard to answer, it's between my father's 21st Roamer Breveté he gave me some years back which skyrocketed my interested, and my own GMT Master II which I bought so I would have a watch that was "my story" - which I also wore for my wedding.
Since I can't decide, here's a picture of both 😂
Dad's Roamer: from 1969
My GMT Master II: from 2018 (30th birthday)
Can't say I have a most special watch. Others in the collection might get jealous and run erratically like +/-25 spd. 😂

Great choice. Picked up one of these to celebrate my 35th birthday.

Congratulations 🎊!
I've told this story here before... but I bought a Longines Master Collection for myself after getting engaged with the intention of wearing it on my wedding day. On the eve of the big day, my dad called me and asked if I'd wear his most prized possession instead, his Rolex. Obviously, this watch now has extra special meaning to us both.
Two days later, I was in Geneva on my honeymoon. Within two hours of landing, my now wife and I were in the Bucherer kiddie-corner from our hotel buying the watch I would wear every minute for the rest of our honeymoon. The story of purchasing this watch is also an interesting one, but too long to share now in this post! For another time.
Without question, these are the most special items in the world to me. One I own, and one I don't (yet).
Hey! Would love to hear it once you’ve made your mind! Thank you brother!

Thank you! That’s amazing. Loved your story - the moonwatch is absolute legend and I’m glad I got to be part of the speedy club with you.
Congrats! Love and live well together. 🍻
