Finally took a morning to work on my watches. I've had the parts, but not the time. The turtle got a new double domed sapphire and chapter ring/dial alignment. The gold pepsi build got a new handset, which I think suits it's style better. The Lorus Mickey Mouse watch got a new movement. Unfortunately, it wasn't an exact replacement since the original is no longer made, so I need to get a crown that will fit the new stem. It's ticking away, though. I ditched the three colored filters on the Casio for a single color, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's a little dark, but still legible. I also took some Polywatch to it, along with the two Swatch watches. I tried to better align the dial/date window on the Alba, but I realize it's not the dial, but the wonky movement. The original movement has been out of production, so I had replaced it a while back with a used movement from a donor watch. It'll have to stay the way it is for now. I also cracked open a couple of my wife's watches that need batteries. Of course, I didn't have either one of those in my bin. 🙄 Off to Amazon, I guess.

I probably have used parts for the Mickey Lorus. What movement did you get to fit in there?

I put an Epson Y121HCP in it, to replace the original V515A. The crown stem was different, so I had to use the one supplied with the movement. I'm not completely sure I didn't break off the original stem in the crown trying to remove it, but If I did, it's down in there, and not flush with the surface where I can see it. I may try to dissolve it with alum powder, just in case. I need to do some research and see what the tap & dia. is on the new crown stem, because it seems just a little bigger. I can't get the crown to even start to thread on.
Great way to spend a morning.
Nicely done!

The alum powder trick worked great for me on a seiko crown 👍🏻👍🏻
Btw that gold Pepsi looks cool Lawrence! 👌🏻

Looks like you had fun.
Sure did. I just needed to make time to do it. 🍻
Wow I just see your post Lawrence. You have put some really good work on your modding projects. It must be giving you great pleasure to see your own builds complete 😍
Keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing more of your designs in the near future 🙏
I must have been asleep when you posted this, Lawrence. Where do you find the time? You always seem to have a project on the go 🤓

This was the one morning of my vacation that I kept for myself.
