Watches of Italy

Good Morning/Evening fellow watch enthusiasts,

I have a trip to Rome, Florence and Milan in February. I wanted to pick your minds on if there was a certain watch shop or a Brand or a singular piece that is a MUST get while I’m there keeping in mind that my cities watch market new and second-hand is non-existent. I’m open to any thoughts or ideas.

Well if its not too rich for your blood, Panerai is the ultimate Italian timepiece, at least in my mind.😃

Such cool looking watches. I dont know many affordable italian watchbrands, only my Vertigo diver one but I dont know if they have a physical store. Got mine online.

Panerai 😬

No watch is too rich for my blood, you just have to get your priorities straight 😉. Food is overrated 😂 but seriously any Panerai’s I should watch out for. Pun intended

·

#venezianico would be one.

I always had high on my admiration list the Manometro from Giuliano Mazzuoli

I agree, probably Panerai has the most relevant Italian heritage… while in Florence, make sure to have a stroll on Ponte Vecchio. It’s packed with little high end watch shops! Def worth a visit. Panerai on the other hand has probably the best view from its store!

Unimatic has its store in Milan. Bulgari in Rome.

Visited Milan this summer, great watch shopping.

Check out Via Pietro Verri and Monte Napoleone (amongst others: A. Lange boutique, Vacheron Constantin boutique, Omega, Breguet, JLC...and the Panerai store) and / or the Rinascente at Piazza Duomo. Or visit D'Augusta Gioielli (Via Dante) who carry Anonimo (where quite a few former Panerai employees found a new home): https://anonimo.com/

Panerai in Florence, just a perfect place to shop for that iconic Italian brand. I do not want to deal with Canada customs but I was greatly tempted by my wife who offered to buy me a Submersible either in Paris or in Italy to commemorate our trip a few years ago. I said that it was just as easy to pick up a Pam back home in Toronto, don’t need a watch to enjoy a trip.

Venezianico perhaps, it's an Italian microbrand
