I have an Orient Ray 2 myself and tend to wear it around 8 hours a day but only by circumstance. Its fine to leave unwound, most weekends (after 2 days not wearing it) i have to wind it and itll work just fine, havent had it for extremely long but ive had no issues. Moreover, with a 40 hour power reserve youll probably only have to wind it once a week even if you only wear it ≈4 hours per day.
If youre new to watches with a power reserve (automatic/manual) then you should remember when setting the time to first set the watch to a safe time (6:30 for example) before adjusting the day or damage might be caused. I only say this because if your used to quartz watches its likely youre not used to setting the time often.
