What are some great sub 40mm watches?

What is 1 great watch or 2 great watches for $1,500? My only requirement is 40mm or under. I’m just looking for some other watches to add to my list. Right now I’m considering the following:
Sinn 556i
Seiko SPB143
Tissot PRX
Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic

I’ve got the 42mm Hammy in Titanium and really like it so that’s a great option. Otherwise for a left field option microbrand Echo/Neutra have got this moonphase field watch that’s within budget.

Here are a few I'm looking at, Evant, NTH, Raven, Alsta. They run $500 to $750 a pop.

A Sinn 104 or an Oris Aquis might fit the bill.

i would say sinn 556

I own and appreciate the Tissot and Hamilton on your list for the size and price.

If a diver interests you the Mido Ocean Star automatic and Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53 both come in at 40mm

I came here with a similar question a few weeks back and ended up with a Hamilton Khaki Automatic. Very happy with my decision. Price didn't feel like a huge investment, but quality is great, and the 80 hour power reserve really makes a difference in terms of how "managed" it has to be. But so much of this comes down to personal taste, I'd see if you can find any of your picks at a department store so you can see / feel them on the wrist. Good luck!

Union Glashütte Viro 34mm (Union says it's unisex)

Longines Conquest 39mm

Tissot Gentleman 40mm

Seiko Alpinist 38 mm

Frederique Constant Classics Index 40mm

Laco Amazonas 39mm

Bonus, if you consider quartz:

Baume & Mercier Classima 40mm

If you like microbrands and don't mind quartz, this is a great watch under 1K. Tsao Baltimore Constellation. It has a cool story behind it too. Tsao has a whole line of really cool watches, not just this one.
