The bezel isn’t lumed unfortunately - I ordered the wrong bezel. Waiting for a lumed version to arrive in the post then I will upgrade it. 🧐

I know the BWC video you are referring to - iirc he bought the green dial too.

It’s actually that video which led me to believe the front loading thing, but by the time that video came out I’d already sold the watch. I still think the Galli is the best looking Timex range they have, but the prices have crept up enough that it’s Tissot PRX money now. 🧐

I wouldn’t take it to any old watchmaker. I believe the movement is front loaded so you can’t just take the caseback off.

Otherwise it would be easy enough to do it yourself and re-set the hand stack at 12 as I have done with many mod builds in the past. I used to have a 38mm Galli S1 with the green dial.

Nice watch and hands were aligned perfectly but eventually a speck of dust appeared on the dial and it was a bastard to get rid of it. Had to use an air blower through the crown stem…. Because.. you can’t remove the movement from the rear of the case. Send it back.

It’s based on the basic model but yes, it’s the 40th anniversary edition well spotted. It sold out before I could get one but managed to find a used one on eBay for only £15 above RRP so I jumped on it. It’s much heavier than the base model with a steel case back etc and I think the screen is crisper as well. Exit gshock … no more after this I have too many!

Looks like a planet ocean bezel as opposed to a scalloped SMP bezel. Top left (Yes I was bored…)
