A review of a homage of a homage of a homage and it's original?... Probably not....

The Spect & Söhne SP0007 is a stylish and affordable watch that offers great value for money. The watch is made of 316 stainless steel and features a Rose Gold bezel, a white royal oak style dial with rosegold and white nautilus handset indices and hands, and a Sapphire crystal. The double baton hour marker on the twelve and single batons on all on 1 through 11 add to the watch’s elegant design.

The watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters, making it suitable for everyday use. The integrated bracelet design and case are similar to the Tissot PRX, but the bracelet isn’t as nice as the Tissot bracelet. The butterfly bracelet comes with 9 full-size removal links and two half-sized removable links. For a 19cm wrist, I removed 2 full-size links and a half-size link, but at night it starts to feel a bit too tight. I might have to revisit the links and add the half-size link back on to the bracelet.

The automatic movement in the watch is a Miyota 8215. The movements rotor is a bit loud, but it’s not too noticeable during everyday use. The watch is a bit taller than I thought, but overall looks the part and was incredibly affordable. In terms of accuracy, the 8215 is rated between -20 to +40 seconds a day. The 8215 also has a 40-hour power reserve.

Spect & Söhne also offers a Quartz version of this watch which is even cheaper than the automatic version. Additionally, they have chronograph version of this watch which as well, but it is only available in Quartz at present.

Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase of the Spect & Söhne SP0007 watch. It looks just as good if not better than the Tissot PRX due to its dial and indices choices, and it’s an excellent value for money.

  • Great movement with 40 hour power reserve
  • Affordable pricing - mine was sub 100€
  • Dial and indices choice is better than the PRX
  • It's a great looking watch.
  • It's very very very close to the PRX
  • The bracelet doesn't feel great, but not as bad as some other watch brands.
  • No mechanical chronograph

Thats a Chinese rebranded fake brand. They also sell the Santos, Monaco, Nautilus and the IWC with the exposed face screws. Usually these guys use the better NH35. The similarity to the PRC was their rebranded fake.

Is that a Casioak homage? 😉

Looks like it's "Specht & Sohne" and not "Specht & Söhne". Seems at this price you can't afford an Umlaut.

I will never ever write Söhne incorrectly... Even Spect gets on my nerves... 😅

Oh, so they are doing what the Swiss did a 120 years ago?

It's good that they decided to stop selling fakes and now have their own brand.

I love this brand and have a few of their watches, including this Cartier homage with the Miyota 8215 movement. Very solid quality, very reasonably priced watches. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I found something I liked.

I'm wearing it right now! 😀

Don't think too hard; it's a heavy, well-finished piece. 👍

Well, it actually says "Specht" on the dial - which is both a German surname and the German word for a woodpecker.

That it's a last name is clear, but they use a bird in the logo so it annoys me since Specht is the singular form and this brand isn't named after a real person... But still it's not as bad as not being able to use an umlaut or use the form oe.
