24 watches sold….

I’ve gone on this binge of liquidation of my watch collection.

Got rid of some “fashion” watches and other entry level pieces…..

Feels good to trim the collection.

In this time, I’ve only added 3 watches….I think that leaves me with 10 watches in total. Not bad 🍻

How did you liquidate them? Firing squad? Sold on E-bay? Gifted to young nephews?

eBay?

Saddled! Lol

At ok, I’m assuming you mean saddled with, like stuck in a way?

Well, if that’s what you mean, yeah, I felt the same for two years….i thought to myself…..I’ll never sell my watches, I love them all…..

But then I thought watch collecting is a journey and experience, not all about acquisition. So I listed a few on EBay and all of them sold. 🤯

I was shocked…..there’s much more of a demand for these time pieces than I thought…..

But once I sold and shipped some of them, I thought I would miss them, but I don’t.

In fact, it gets me excited to take the financial earnings and shop for something else. Then I realized that’s a big part of the journey for me……hunting, buying, looking, shopping, and if I get bored with a time piece or want something different, sell it and take the money and get something else. 🍻

For me, it was liberating, thinking I’m not stuck with something and I can hunt and acquire something else.

eBay! In fact, every watch I’ve listed has sold.

Even my Timex and G-Schocks

I need to give ebay a try. I'm running out of nephews and can't bring myself to go the firing squad route!

Yes, you hit it right on the head. Maybe I'll just start listing things and see how it goes.
