Symmetry appreciation post
I really love this Baltic Bicompax for its looks and especially the symmetry. The sector-dial just looks so pleasing to my eyes.
Do you care about symmetrical looks? Like a date at 3 vs 6, or some weird chronograph arrangements?

I get that! That’s why I don’t like gmt watches.. that additional hand just feels like it’s anywhere all the time any takes away symmetry… at least that’s why I feel 😅

Well, the Aviera, at least, doesn't have a date. However I'm not personally concerned about the hands given that with a gmt hand you have a pair number of hands instead of the evil three hands of simple three handers. I might have a problem :D

For me, not just the symmetry that is pleasing, but the positive vibes. Is it just me, whenever I see a bicompax with a sector dial, it looks like it's smiling back (either happy, or deranged). A happy looking watch 😊.
I get you! That Baltic bicompax is very well designed and indeed the superb symmetry is one of the main attributing factors. I find symmetry in general an important factor in a watch’s design, but it can take different shapes - eg. this dial is not really symmetrical (moon top left, date bottom right, no functions top right or bottom left), but it still feels very well laid out and balanced:
