A bit desperate imo. They seem to keep trying new design languages every few years, hoping that something will stick.
It never seems like it's going to be a big deal but it soon becomes super frustrating.
I've bought and sold 3 khaki Field autos (2 black dial, 1 silver), and 1 khaki Field mechanical because the glare on the crystal bugged me too much after a while.
Something definitely changed after they started putting 'prospex' on the dial imo
Still love seiko, and have plenty of them, but they're not as cheap and cheerful as they used to be.
