Bambino appreciation post

It's been one month since buying my orient bambino le salmon dial and it's quickly become one of my favorite watches to wear. It's incredibly comfortable and I've received complements from men and women alike on the gorgeous dial. My first ever mechanical watch was a 2nd generation bambino and I've had a soft spot for them ever since. I was wondering what people think about the bambino model line and which references are your personal favorites? Love to hear your feedback and hope everyone's having a nice day out there 🩷

Beautiful watch. Love the lizard strap pairing too!

·

Big fan of the Bambino line. Both for the design aesthetic and for the price point that puts a beautiful dress watch within reach for everyone. Praise be Orient. 🙏

I'm also glad they noticed the high popularity of the "gen 6" 38mm Bambino and decided to expand this model with new color variations, since the previous gens in 40 and 42mm were too big for my slender wrist. 👌

·

Love the colour of that strap! Really sets off the dial.

I've always said, if I ever need a dress watch, the Bambino would be it for sure.

That dial-strap combo is lit!

Couldn't agree more, the 38mm is a great size and the new dial colors are all so nice. They improved pretty much every issue I had with my older model and kept the price very reasonable. Praise be orient 🙌

Thank you 😊

To be honest, I had not really looked at the Bambino line but seeing your watch I will have to correct that error! Your watch is a beauty, that dial and strap makes it look a little vintage but with a modern air. I can understand why it has become a favourite. I have now added it my list of watches to get, thanks for sharing it!

Where did you get that strap? Looks great!

I bought it from an Amazon seller called Watchsavings. This is a screenshot of the listing.

Hadley-Roma bands are nice. It's too bad my Bambino is the odd 21mm lug width. Otherwise, I love mine:

I had the same issue with my gen 2 but that looks great on the green strap! I found some cheap suede options and a mesh bracelet but it's definitely hard to find a lot of good 21mm options 😑

Bambino is just about the classiest option for the money out there. I think the v7 is especially good because of the lovely proportions and available dial colors. As you can see in your pictures, with the right strap these can look like a million bucks.

How did you manage to get one?! I’ve been trying to get one without any luck!

I randomly came across it in an Instagram post and went straight to the orient website the same day. They still have gray dial and champagne dial versions in stock but the blue and salmon dials are sold out unfortunately 🙁

Thank you for your post. I will try to get it in the secondary. ☹️

Just beautiful. I like what they did with the 38 mm version and also that they finally did the 38mm version.

Makes so much sense that I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner

I have Bambino with grey dial and gold hands. Its a solid addition. Really good value.

Love that reference, nice choice 👏

·

Love the Bambino. I have five Orients which primarily serve me for dressier fare. But of course they go well with just about anything. Good choice.

·

Have a green one my self!!!
