Which is your first watch?

Hi guys, just out of curiosity I would like to know which is your first watch or the watch you had the longest and if you still have it!? Comment down below with yours!

Mine is this Decathlon watch😂😂😂, if you can define it a watch, I still remeber that once I lost my previous Decathlon watch at the basketball gym and my parents bought me this one to replace it! I was around ten years old and still have it, I also used until some years ago as a chronometer to time my sets in the gym.

My first "real" watch was a Swatch Sistem51, which I never wear.

I bought this hunk of junk when I was 13 and knew nothing about watches.

First one I can remember was a Freestyle Shark my dad got me in the mid-nineties. Similar to this:

First watch was probably a mechanical Timex in the mid-60''s. Long gone now.

The watch that I bought and have had the longest is a Zodiac Sea Wolf purchased in 1976

This casio worldtimer was bought to by my parents when I was about 11~12 years old (I'm 23 rn). It still runs and functions just fine, though looking back at it the watch is a god damn alarm bell on my 15.1cm wrist. 😅

The first watch in my collection is the Hamilton Khaki Field; timeless design in my eyes.

In 1975, I found this Seiko Sportsmatic 5 ref 6619-9000. (I mean, I literally found it lying on the ground in a parking lot) It was just the case and was missing both a strap/bracelet and a bezel ring. I had the piece sent off to Dallas to replace the crystal. They found this scalloped bezel ring and I later found the Jubilee bracelet and I was off and running although I had no idea what I actually had!

I searched the serial number and determined it was manufactured in January 1967. It is currently my oldest possession. I took it into the water and breached the case, which accounts for that nifty, custom water stain down there around the 4-5 area of the dial. I can honestly say, no one else has this exact watch! Had it professionally serviced and it works well and I still love it!

My first watch was a Michael kors my dad got me for graduating high school.

My first watch I bought for myself was a white dial ESQ that I got when I was working at a Zales Jewelry store.

I didn't keep either watch for long.

I didn't wear watches for a long time after that. Too pricey for me. Then I graduated law school and my dad got me a rolex Daytona. Except, it was a fake. (Yeah, I got a fake rolex when I graduated law school. Still haven't forgiven my dad for that. He could have got me a real seiko or tissot for the price he paid for the fake, and I would have cherished that)

My first watch that I got since I started my watch journey properly was the hamilton khaki field mechanical. Still love it.

I still have it! A Marine Star, a super scarce version with a 660 feet depth rating. It's the first "adult" watch I can recall buying and served me very well island hopping the South Pacific for a decade or so.

Had I been involved in the watch community way back then its probably safe to say few enthusiasts would've advised a quartz Bulova for diving and snorkeling but the proof is in the pudding. As you can see I really beat the crap out of it but will never let it go. Buy what you Love.

Nice conditions!!!

It was restored a few years ago with a new dial and bezel (authentic Zodiac pieces) a few years ago. Everything else is original.

Here.s a pre-restoration picture.

My first watch I can remember was one of these flashy TokyoFlash watches you could only read if you know how it works. It was in my early teens. I picked it myself and was very proud of it. But unfortunately I lost it or it was stolen while getting surgery in a hospital. I was never able to find this one again.

My son owns this one now. Acquired in 1992, SDS001.

My first real watch was a Breitling Aerospace

My parents gave me a Timex something or other when I was in middle school. Had that for years. Still have it, still runs and is relatively tiny.

·

But the first watch I can remember having was a digital Batman character watch with a rubber strap that had luminous bat-signs on each side. Think it got broke when I was playing baseball at recess in first or second grade (1987 or 1988).

·

A Bulova Quartz, 1993. 18th b'day gift. Still got it. Runs great.

I recall having some fugly 90's thing before it, but can't recall what.
