Looks great.

That is exactly how a watch should look.

It's a wrist watch, not a wrist obscuring watch.

·

Your forefathers called - they want to know if you’re taking the piss?

·

I look at the lug-to-lug distance as a guage. Looks a bit small to me but certainly nothing out of the ordinary.

·

Is fine except for the fact it is a Squale.

·

I think it looks to small but It's your choice, I prefer watches from 40mm to 45mm, I have small ones but they are the ones that rest the most in the collection.

Actually it is hard to judge only by a wrist shot.

It is also alway depending on the whole body sizes.

·

Looks perfect to me.

Bought their Root Beer homage, tried it on and flipped it. For the price, sub-par finishing, bracelet quality lacking and the bezel action was ridiculously tight. Oh, and lume was "meh" at best.

THE most overrated homage brand out there. Buy a Steinhart...better in every way and for less cash.

Looks good, real good.

Squale used to make dive watch cases, that’s their origin: OG dive watch cases since the late 1950s. What’s homage about that?

·

I’ve seen worse

·

👌wear it for some time it will look bigger and feel right, strange watch magic 🎩

And I used to be young and race jet skis through flooded city streets. But that was 35 years ago.

Invicta used to be a well respected brand.

Hamilton used to be an American brand.

None of that matters now...

I am old and slow.

Invicta QC and 99% of their models are a laughing stock.

Hamilton is made in China, cased in Switzerland, overpriced and wouldn't know how to apply AR coating if it was given to them for free.

And none of that is relevant here.

History is history - you can’t rewrite it. Squale are a homage of what, themselves? They made cases for Blancpain and Doxa in the 1960s, amongst others.

Pardon my opinion, Osmium. I take it you own Squale models and my experience and opinion have hurt your delicate sensibilities?

Yeah, that's a shame.

I like French fries.

Have you looked into Squale. The heritage and backstory are what made me buy one. That, and that beautiful dial! Thanks for the feedback

Have owned one. Was a $500 watch that sells for $900. Nope. Never again.

we just want you to clarify this statement. That’s all we ask. Who are Squale a homage brand of?

Easy. Their biggest sellers are Submariner homages.

Just because the former company, Squale, made parts for other companies does not mean squat now. They are owned by a former distributor.

Squale, Davosa, Steinhart are all homage brands. Squale quality is less than the other two for similar or more money.

Nothing wrong with a well made homage but the "heritage" horse is long dead.

·

Squale, Davosa, and Steinhart? Why Davosa all of a sudden? Why those three in particular?

I think we both know where you’re getting your argument from… I needed a laugh, thank you.

·

Looks great mate. Stylish and timeless. Nobody needs a ghastly chinese “Diesel” 47mm watch on their wrist

·

Somebody REALLY dislikes Squale. We get it @biglove , others can appreciate the brand for what it is.

It’s ok, people can repackage others opinions wholesale, it keeps everything fresh (and dumbed-down)... We can just let this lie, we don’t need to stir it up again. The disdain though - yeah, fuck the history, that doesn’t mean anything, because everything dive-related is a Rolex homage. Staggering.
