The title of the post is "Everyone needs a Speedmaster in their collection".
I, like others, have disagreed with this statement. That's the point.
I own a chronograph and the only function I use it for is to tell the time.
Few people need a chronograph. Those who do most likely use a digital one instead, as it would be more accurate.
Chronographs such as the Speedmaster are pretty much just for esthetics. Most people are perfectly content not having a Speedmaster in their collection.
While I like Mean, I feel they are a bit too much of a homage brand. That's not a knock on their quality, just an observation.
Straum has some beautiful designs, so they get my nod in this round.
