Motorsport fan? Ever feel like wearing a watch that's related in some way?

As 2 international renowned races recently occured and one still occurring, the Monaco Grand Prix and 24hr LeMans, I am in a spirited mood to wear something with a motorsports kind of theme. Enter my Farer Bernina Chronograph Sport on wrist this Sunday. I have it paired with a NATO-style strap with Porsche Dakar rally racing colors. Not the same kind of race as afore mentioned, but, none the less still a famous international race series.

Oh, as a bonus on another recent motorsports themed chronograph, it's also got a RED 100 on the tachymeter! 😂 Not a $50k+ watch. But, I can and actually do own it. Plus, the enjoyment I have each time I wear it is priceless.

The Bernina is a great watch. Part of my fascination with chronos, even though I rarely use the chrono function, is the tie to Motorsports and many look good on different straps.

Did they stop making it? Sometimes Farer has kind of long stretch between production runs. Though, they usually don't do the same colors as prior when they do bring a particular model line back.

My love of motorsports has definitely influenced my taste in watches and I have a few chronos as a result, though I bristle/laugh at modern watches marketed as serious Motorsport tools. The idea that anyone on the grid—from the drivers to the crew—are using mechanical watches for anything other than decoration or to fulfill a sponsorship contract is just plain nuts. Still, those old heuers (and the Seikos Senna wore before TAG sponsored him) from when drivers actually did need watches will always pull me in.

I'm pretty sure this was a limited edition.

I think they also just look cool driving fast and hanging turns with one on the wrist.

Gorgeous gorgeous… in fact, was only a couple days ago when @omegaman75 and I were gushing over this exact Farer 🎯🤙❤️

I think these were limited and long gone now

My buddies and I get together for F1 nights and beer so I usually try to wear a watch that seems right for the venue

(when in the middle east I wear my ridiculous gold submariner fake 😜)

There was a new 75th anniversary Porsche Design chronograph that just got released 6/8. Totally forgot about it. Well, probably don't have the $$ right now and likely sold out fast. Looks good.

this is my only motorsports related watch. Although I do like the new Breitling X Triumph chronograph.

Those Breitling chronographs are cool.. basically a Top Time variant?

I've been tempted by a couple of Chronoris watches
