High temps demand a switch to a silicone, rubber or PU strap

Been pretty darn hot recently. So, when my Sinn 103 Klassik 12 was up in rotation for wrist enjoyment, putting it on a comfy fine ribbed textured drab green silicone rubber strap seemed a good choice for a change.

That strap seems an excellent pairing for the 103! I favor a rubber strap most of the year.

That's a really good looking watch, I imagine it works on just about any strap.

Awesome paring

Pretty much

I prefer leather or a nato if it's sweaty 🥵 More breathable. The rubberstrap look is cool thou 😎

I use NATOs, bracelets or rubber straps for hot humid weather too. We get plenty of that. I find the rubber straps vary in comfort when it’s hot. The Omega strap on my Seamaster AT is by far the best. My Barton silicone straps are generally comfortable, but feel close in the heat as they don’t breathe well.

Awesome, and even better that you managed to avoid the NATO trap.

Nato for the win. Cool, comfortable and easily cleaned while cheap enough to keep many different colors. Silicone is hot, discolors and hardens over time. Leather ends up smelling nasty because it can absorb biologics while metal absorbs sunlight to get hot.

My experience with silicone is that it gets unbearably hot and sticky the more it heats up. I have better luck with hard rubber straps that that are stiff almost like a bracelet but without all the weight. This is a favorite, and it shaves about 65 grams off the weight of the watch vs the bracelet

Another vote for NATO straps in the summer. As an added bonus, you can use the NATOs from your 20mm watch on your 22mm watches.  I would say 18mm NATOs but only the Connery Bond could pull off a 4mm gap.

Hmm i dislike silicone straps, even in winter i immediately sweat underneath them.

Those Hirsch Performance straps are completely different, it's agressively ribbed rubber underneath, and pretty much every choice as a top material. You can get them with Leather, Rubber, Canvas, even Leaves(!)

Your Klassik 12 / 103 is one of the best looking watches ever made.  Congrats on getting one of the few.

Thanks. This was one I needed to have in the metal to see if it was all that or not. Glad it met expectations
