Wrist patina verified

Swatch verified the wrist patina from MoonSwatch.

"“The pigment is not hazardous to skin, non-toxic, so this effect is completely harmless for the wearer,” said the spokesperson based in Biel, Switzerland, adding that the colour of the item will also be unchanged. “We have reported this to the quality management of our production facilities that have already taken all necessary measures on this matter.”"

I've seen Swatch make a similar comment on their main Instagram account. This is good to see as this is the version I hope to get at some point.

I’m guessing, given your handle, blue will be ok as long as it lasts well! 💙

Once they are available online or in Omega shops, I may spring for Mars. I might as well go for ‘full crazy’ if I decide to swing for this.

·

Mars is my fave too and I'll probably do likewise.  Closest I'll ever get to a Project Alaska probably

This is really bad quality from Omega.  I always thought of Omega as a high quality brand but they have really fallen a long way.

It is really weird.  Nobody said "hey, go sit in a sauna with this thing and let's see what happens." QC obviously needs to step up

So does the "MISSION TO URANUS" version turn your wrist brown?

So much hate, not just from you, I just chose your post to reply to. But so much hate from lots of quarters regarding the wrist patina. I think it's actually kind of cool. You're sort of wearing it even when you take it off. And fellow connoisseurs will see it and get it. Those who know, know, kind of thing. If a certain brand that has a crown logo invented wrist patina collectors would be going crazy for it.

And anyway, if for some reason you don't dig the wrist patina just wear the watch with the plastic protector on. It's no big deal.

Haters gonna hate.

Friend, just be careful when trusting what companies tell you about safety when they make a mistake.  A hard lesson we learn over and over again:

LOL. No hate.  This is just my way of poking fun at all the people last week saying “It says Omega Speedmaster on the dial.  It’s a real Omega!!!”

It should be clear by now, especially after Max’ video, that the MoonSwatch is an all Swatch, low quality, low value toy.  But if you have a few hundo to blow on whatever you think is fun, you do you.
