LOL. Sundials are stationary. Do you have to have a certain part of the watch pointing in a certain direction, and does the Watch act as a compass as well?

holy cow, there are various models at alluring prices* avialable!
*Well yeah, there are only two moving parts and only the crudest fabrication and metallurgy required, but still. It's a compass watch!
C'mon @cornfedksboy all you need is to find north (hence integrated compass, and the presumed nonferrous construction) and keep it fairly level (required for first step anyway).

If itโs sunny, with a working compass and a level, then you can read the timeโฆ.not compensated for DLS, and potentially several minutes off from standard time. Got it! Kinda what I thought.ย
You have to account for magnetic deviation with the lower compass along with the angle of the sun according to the month. Mine is 13 degrees here. I have several sundials and 3 sun rings.
Very nice!
Very cool! ย How does it work?
Whence does one get this?

You'll have to look up how a sun dial works.

But, how do you change the time on DST?
Would you say the movement is solar powered or nuclear powered (the sun)
