A diver for a small watch lover
I asked my AD for this watch after its announcement. I’ve always been a fan of the original Pelagos but as someone who prefers smaller size watches it never captured my heart. Then enter the new Pelagos 39. This new Pelagos is perfect for me to double as the tool/diver in any small watch lovers collection. Initial impressions are good. The weight on titanium takes some getting used to if you’ve never worn one but I’d say if you’ve worn a vintage sub and enjoyed it, this would be right up your alley. The dial is clear and easy to read, the sunburst on dial doesn’t take away from the toolish nature as some reports say because it is not overpowering. the brushed sunburst bezel ads a bit of character and i honestly love how it takes a silver/gray tone in most lighting. i have not tried the rubber strap yet but seems great quality and will update back when I do.
PS. I have a 6.75” wrist.
