Building A Watch Collection
So far it’s 2 Timex Marlins (re-imagined), 1 Straum Opphav, a Formex Essence Gamaret and my beat up old Casio Waveceptor (from 25 years ago). I’ve got my eyes on a few others. Just need some time. 😊Thanks for reading.

Thank you for saying so. I have a Seiko Astron Nexter GPS Solar (2023) on its way. I keep looking at a Grand Seiko. Maybe used. We’ll see. They’re not giving these things away for free! 😂

It's Formex not Forex ... just a typo, I know. I am fascinated by the names Rolex, Timex, Formex, Vertex. They all have strange origins. I think Rolex is supposed to be pronounceable in every country (is it?) and is supposed to sound like a watch being wound (does it?). Timex was a combination of Time magazine and Kleenex which were both huge brands (is it)? Formex ... something to do with form and experience? I might have that one wrong ... and Vertex ... presumably to sound like Rolex? I dunno. Fascinating.

I’be got a new a Seiko on its way to replace my 25-year old beat up Casio. Then I’m done. For now. These things aren’t free! 😂

The bracelet looks really well done too but pretty pricey. Saw that you ordered an Astron, I have the SSH123: https://www.seikowatches.com/us-en/products/astron/ssh123j1 and it's a really comfortable, convenient travel watch. Have banged it a bunch without any scratches. The AR coating is superb too, you can't even see the glass sometimes.
The Straum I’ve been wearing almost daily for now. It’s comfortable. And the Green one you’re waiting for is a beautiful look. The retail box the watch comes in is pretty crappy-but I got a leather travel case for it, too. I almost went to get the same Seiko Astron as you if I could not get the other. Great feedback. I appreciate it. Thank you. And you’re right…a tad hard on the wallet!
