Islander Manhasset black dial vs blue dial?
I've decided to buy an Islander Manhasset as my next watch, but now I've been second-guessing myself on which color I want.
On the one hand, there is the great-looking light blue dial with the jubilee style bracelet I personally prefer, with in my opinion the nicer lume.
On the other hand the more traditional black dial with the oyster-style bracelet which in my opinion isn't as nice as the jubilee-style bracelet, and with lesser nice lume (in my opinion), now I'm here to get some outside help.

Sounds like you want the blue one. Go for it!
You want the Blue one, that much is obvious so I voted for it to help you confirm your decision.
I personally love the black Manhasset. It gives Explorer vibes without being a straight copy and I feel like it has more class
Given my preference toward black dials you could expect an appropriate answer. However, inn this case the black just pops so much more.
This is clearly not a right/wrong choice. No wrong answers here! I agree with others, you seem drawn to the blue, so I voted for that. And who knows, if you find the blue too casual for some settings, get the black later.
(FWIW-I got a Nodus Glacial Sector Sport and I’m gonna wear that blue dial to anything and everything! 😉)

I prefer the black colour, I generally prefer more classic designs, but you seem to prefer the blue one, go for it, take the blue so the black may stay in stock until I decide to order it :P

The dial is lovely but it has the Same drawbacks of the Black one.
If you only plan to buy one Manhasset or 3-6-9 style watch, then I would get the black since it fits in more situations. However, if you would like to eventually get a black dialed Lorier Falcon, Traska Summiteer, Nodus Sector, etc., then I would tell you to follow your desire to acquire that blue Manhasset.
