Fake Omega Moonswatch?

What do you guys think about this? I bought this at an Antique store, and the poor guy was under the impression that it was real. I gave him 30 bucks for it and I wanted to know what you thought?

Is this wrong or a proper retaliation? I have the feeling here that with with metal case this might even be a better made watch than the Swiss Offering.

[Story Explained] So, I was in a local [Unnamed Antique Store], and I found it and knew it was fake because the 10-Hour Chronograph dial was a 24-hour dial, and the watch was made of metal. The seller was not there, but I called him out on it over the phone, and he said that he had gotten it online somewhere. I assumed he was trying to cheat some people out of money. It was unfortunate, but I wanted it because I simply wanted the unique item and to see how crappy a fake crappy watch would be like. Turns out the watch is better made than the Speedmaster Moonswatch and I think that it is funny.

Well, if you had bought the fake from a Chinese website, you would have paid $30, so if that's where he got it then he broke even. Hopefully, he didn't pay more than that for it.

He probably bought it for $20. One of the tricks of selling fake merchandise is to make the customer feel like they know better than the seller.

Oh boo hoo, some people are worried that Omega didn't get their shekel of the licensing fee or whatever. But this is second hand, so nobody but the antique store owner got your money. Did you let him know that this was decidedly not an antique?

Two questions.

Why did you buy it if you knew it was a branded fake?

How do you know it's a fake? Have more pictures pointing out the evidence?

I’m not sure what the premise is. There’s probably little distinction between a real and a fake MoonSwatch at this point as the “fakes” are probably higher quality than the “real”.

The real question is- How long was the line?

The Watch is Fake because it is made of metal and the 10 hour chronograph dial is actually a 24-hour dial. It has a sapphire crystal and to me it's better made than the Speedmaster Moonswatch.

It was a short line! Because no one really knew what it was, and it was at a local store, but yeah hilarious😎

The retaliation is that Swatch essentially messed up so badly on this release that the Chinese are profitting off of it more than the swiss are because you can't even buy these online right now, they restricted it. So it drives people to buy these fakes online which is how I found this in an antique store.

A fake of a fake!?!? Huh....

I wanted the novelty of having one of these watches, and the concept of China doing a better job than the swiss is hilarious to me. I was surprised at how well-made it was. When I went to see one in person, the [real] watch felt incredibly cheap, but this one feels better because it's made of metal. It feels like it had a can of Rustoleum painted over it, but The only real giveaway is that the 10-hour chronograph dial is a 24-hour function and turns regardless of the chronograph.

I don't know?

For $30, you paid too much! 😂

This was closer than I thought it would be! Lol
