I sometimes try to trick my wife into a response. This was a conversation earlier this week:
Me: "Hey Hon, I just bought a watch for 19k."
Wife: "Hmmm ... that's in Yen, isn't it?"
Me: "Hehe, yes..."

Ugh… when my wife sees me vacuuming, scrubbing the bathtub, folding laundry and making dinner - all in the same day…she knows I’m about to “seek permission” to purchase a watch 🤦♂️😂🤙❤️
My wife does not collect watches... She just casually owns 8 watches. A rado with diamonds for 3k, a longines with diamonds 2k and others... And she casually owns over 20k in jewellery. And I feel bad spending 170 for a Casio 🤣

I always hear, "You need to stop buying watches" my reply is you need to stop Twitch streaming CONSTANTLY. So far nobody is getting their way. Thankfully my watches are pretty cheap.
I'm lucky my partner is into watches, as well as being into old watches. Usually we go to thrift stores and antique markets together and it's extremely fun. Lucky for her its my only splurging habit and gives her and excuse to make fun of my splurging, same as I do to her with almost all her purchases.
Because if you are a man, then try to be the best version of a man, and if you are a woman, then try to be the best version of a woman! If you are something else, try to be the best version of that! Yes, be whatever or whoever makes you happy and rocks your boat. No argument here! 🤔😜
Three main things my old man taught me a real man should have 1 always wear a belt. 2 Carry always a tool pocket knife. 3 Always wear a watch! and if you can afford a real good time piece that’s even more better.
