The new Seiko 5 Sport resembles the SKX. Even though it is not an ISO certified diver, is is rated 100m, has a better windable and hackable movement with a longer reserve time. Ok, not a sapphire crystal, but the Seiko Hardex is quite tough, and it can be easily upgraded to sapphire. Looks almost identical to the SKX. It also comes in many flavours. It would also be a great first real watch if he decides to become a collector, as he will always cherish it.
It is 27mm and 37mm lug to lug. Quite small. The back plate clamps an O-ring with 3 Phillips screws. I cannot find it anywhere on the internet. Please help me identify it.
Can anybody recognize this watch model. I have searched and searched the internet using many different keywords as well as image searches and cannot find anything. Some similar ones show up but not exactly the same and none without a second hand.
I tore my brains out trying to decide on a Submariner homage for several weeks. The Steinhart was high on my list. In the end I got so confused with bang for the buck stuff and all the other factors that I burned out, threw in the towel, lost all of my pride and ordered a "replica" (fake) Sub.
