My wrist is at least above average so 38-42 is good, the biggest is 44-45 for me but I can still wear it.

I feel ya dude, I have like more than 10 NATOs in my small fancy box, mixed in with my two piece straps. There are 3 more 20mm NATOs coming in. I can't stop this invasion, I fear my small box will be overrun 😭

Ah I see, they finally updated the Hamilton however that's for the 42mm, it should be a perfect fit I think for you, would be pretty nice if they also updated the smaller versions.

Clone homages are the closest you can get to (legally) replicating the same watch from Tudor, for example.

Are clone homages fake watches? No, not really. Even though the design is pretty much 1 to 1 copy of the real deal, the only difference is the name of the brand, if you wanna try sueing clone homage brands, well it's practically nearly impossible because there are hundreds and hundreds of clone homages in (for example) AliExpress.

Are clone homages a solid choice for people who

can't afford the real deal? Yes, it can be a good way to test drive a watch before pulling the trigger on the real one, whether testing the size and fit and even the visual. It can be used as another way to prevent losing the real deal, used as a substitute when you're out travelling, albeit the same idea can be applied for fake branded watches (fake Rolex, for example).

For the money alone, yea it's quite nice. The QC issues would be apparent depending on the clone homage brand (Pagani Design or San Martin, or any other Chinese brands) but the quality and build are fairly decent.

For me, 1 clone homage is already fine however I personally prefer watches with original designs and good brand history.

It's funny for me to have dive watches even though I can't swim

The Seiko is a solid choice, however the old 7S36 movement calibre doesn't hack or wind which is a downside. Perhaps it could be inaccurate from time to time, but its 40 hrs power reserve is actually good. Movement calibre aside, it's still a pretty good watch with a 100m WR which is handy when compared to Hamilton's 50m WR (for me, makes no sense to have 50m WR for a $500 watch). In terms of crystal, handlex is good enough to say the least. I noticed the lug to lug on the Seiko is quite long (can't remember the measurement).

As for Hamilton, I don't have the watch so I don't have the hand-ons experience with it. The movement calibre inside is modern, hack and wind are included. It got a domed sapphire crystal with AR and the design is truly like a WW2 field watch. The WR however is the downside, 50m for $500 is too much to ask in my opinion.

Watches aside, I think the decision solely relies on you.
