The Arcus Tropos uses an ST19 that has been modified into a monopusher. If you want something super unique like this, then this moght make a cool watch. Don't know if it's available anymore.
I recommend the 38mm version. It wears bigger than its diameter suggests to its longer lug to lug, and the 40mm version looks worse since the hands don't reach out all the way (since it uses the same handset as the 38mm version).
Bulova was almost certainly not aware of this until the public learned in ~2015 as it had been kept secret.
From an environmental standpoint, Vegan leather makes zero sense. It usually incorporates some type of plastic. Coupled with a generally shorter lifespan of it, it means more plastic in the ocean.
In regards to cow leather specifically, ~99% of leather used for goods is a byproduct of the meat industry. What this means is that by electing to not use real leather, you are not reducing the amount of cows killed, but are just allowing more leather to go to waste.
