Just got a Bulova MIL-SHIPS!

This is a watch I have been wanting ever since I first saw it in person. I just graduated with my AA degree and as a graduation present my dad offered to buy it for me (it was also on a massive sale for only $315). I couldn't be happier with it!

If I were to find one thing I would change, the lume is definitely not that great on this watch. I actually like the 16mm lug width. It looks weird in photos but looks great in person (I'm also used to wearing watches with 18mm lug widths so 16mm was less jarring to me compared to others who are used to 20mm).

I think the stock strap fits this watch really well. I did also order a NOS Vietnam-era 16mm strap for it which I might use with this watch sometimes.

It is! It uses a Miyota 82S0. It would be nice if they put a 9000-series in it, but at the discounted price, it was fine. Definitely not worth its MSRP tho.

Are you referring to drilled lugs? If so, I agree.

Congrats on the pickup! I came somewhat close to grabbing one that I saw on a recent cruise, but decided to hold off.

Congrats on the watch and your degree. I'm a sucker for Navy watches.

Amazing watch. I recently bought one as well. I wanted to ask whether you’ve had any problems with its accuracy? For some reason, after I set the time in mine, it runs fast after a few hours. It usually runs ahead 2 to 4 mins from the time I set. Is this normal or should I send it to get checked out since it’s still in warranty? I have other automatic watches and none have any problems with accuracy. I wondered if it was the movement but from what i found online it said that the watch should at most run 15 to 20 seconds fast not minutes.

Congrats on your degree!
