Besides maybe Expedition Chronograph, which can look like a field watch or an aviation watch, depending on the variant. They're bigger (42 mm), but also more water resistant (10 bar to Weekender's 3)
The Standard is nice, and I really like the onion crown, but the Weekender is a tad smaller and more importantly, doesn't have that cluttering tachymetric scale. Otherwise it looks pretty much identical.

There's a circuit transformed to higher voltage, which then leads to a electroluminescent layer in the dial.
When you press the crown, the current flows through the layer and it lights up. When you let go, it turns off.
When you press and hold the crown for about four seconds, it blinks to signal night mode.
In night mode, pressing any button lights lights the dial for about two seconds. Night mode deactivates when you press and hold the crown, or after several hours.

The Waterbury is of better quality than the Weekender Chronograph but I would still go for the Weekender Chronograph due to the legibility of the dial, just change the strap for a better looking one and you're all set

I prefer the left, easier to read with better styling. I would swap the strap though.
The one on the left
Left, same reasons as @madminuteman stated
Absolutely, the one on the left, Much more legible and far better styling.

Weekender Chronograph (40 mm). The best.

Waterbury < Standard < Weekender.

Weekender
The Weekender for me by a mile. Both are nice but to me the weekender is much easier to read and looks better too.
