Does the smartwatch go with a suit?

For me, I think it doesn't fit well, it's two different things

Business context, yes it fits. Smartwatches are tools for the workday. Business suits are as much about keeping warm in excessively air-conditioned offices as dressing up. Visit any technology-friendly organization, conference, or event and you'll see more smartwatches than anything else. Attendees also take notes on notebooks or tablets.

Weddings and formal parties, no it doesn't fit. Watches are jewelry and fashion items, so they should match other fashionable clothing items. Pair dress watches with cufflinks, tie clips, eye glasses, neckties, leather belts and shoes, etc.

Not with a good, traditionally tailored suit, but it's just the thing for some awful skinny-legged, low-rise, bumfreezer made of chintzy shiny stretch synthetic (worn with open collar and some cheesy rubber-soled shoes, of course).

For function, sure. For looking sharp, absolutely not. It doesn't mean I assume someone wearing one is a clown, it just doesn't look good to me. Yes, that's only a subjective opinion but it's mine.

Savage 😂

I really think it's part of your general swag.  I had a partner once who always wore a giant white GShock with a suit, but he carried himself in a way that made it seem totally appropriate and natural.

Yes. One, no one gives a crap. Two, some of the most powerful people in the world rock the apple watch with a suit. I was out to dinner recently with presidents of two of the biggest finance companies in the world. They both had apple watches.

They certainly aren't stylish.  Why spend the money to own a nice suit and accessorize it with a black geometric shape when you can have a stylish flashy mechanical watch.  Are you going to wear nice polished leather shoes or a work boots with that suit?

Never ever...that is something you wear in a very casual setting. But that's just one man's opinion 😉
