Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

When I was younger (middle school & high school) I was given watches like Timex, Fossil and Nixon. I eventually got into Casio with a G-Shock since I was outdoors a lot. Watches were always a great talking point and had cultural significance to me.

Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?

My first watch was likely a Timex or Burger King toy watch. My first automatic watch was an Invicta diver. I was too young to realize you needed to keep winding automatic watches, I assumed it was broken. Those watches are all lost to time.

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

I've had one of my G-Shocks for over 13 years in various bodies of water (Pacific, Atlantic, Alaska, Bahamas, Caribbean, etc..) and it's still on the original battery somehow.

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Limit yourself when purchasing. Buy quality over quantity. You'll regret going for an Homage or replica in my opinion. Force yourself to wait a certain amount of time before purchasing another one. They add up quick.

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

Christopher Ward, Rado, Mido

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

Probably the new Blue Omega Snoopy
